If you are a Canadian Citizen or permanent resident of Canada, you may be able to sponsor the following relatives to become a permanent resident under the Family Class:

• Spouse
• Dependent Children
• Parents
• Grandparents

Note: Effective 5 November 2011, Citizenship and Immigration Canada is not accepting new applications to sponsor parents and grandparents for up to 24 months. However, parents and grandparents may be eligible to visit Canada for up to 2 years under the Parent and Grandparent Supervisa.
